This beautiful vase is inspired by the washed up glass that shows up on the shoreline of Northern California. Sea Glass mixes in the sand after being tumbled by the ocean over time, giving the material a smooth texture that is treasured by beach goers.
Using classic glass making methods, murrini is pulled, cut and formed into a gorgeous and classic vase. Measuring about 8 inches in height and 4 inches wide.

This sculpted glass sea turtle measures about 11.75 inches at its widest and about 1.75 inches tall. The shell and fins are made just like my starfish, with a thick layer of clear glass on top of a thin layer of organic colored glass. I have been working with glass for 19 years and have fixated on ocean creatures for the past 10!

This sculpted glass sea turtle measures about 12.5 inches at its widest and about 21 inches tall. The shell and fins are made just like my starfish, with a thick layer of clear glass on top of a thin layer of organic colored glass. The vase of the turtle is a very thick and optical piece of glass with undulating colors. I have been working with glass for 19 years and have fixated on ocean creatures for the past 10.

Hand sculpted glass starfish. This Sherbet Dichro Flat Starfish is created by adding a thin layer of Dichroic Glass to the bottom of the starfish, which is metallic and glitter-like. The Dichro gives the appearance of shimmering sand over a sherbet color pattern. Layers of coral, lime and amber colors are added to the bottom of the starfish, then a thick layer of clear glass is added to the top, making the starfish optical and appear almost wet.

Choose between Flat and Creeping Styles.

Images are of Flat. Flat starfish will rest on a flat surface with no legs bent over the side. Creeping starfish have two bent legs, capturing the moment when the starfish is creeping away, just like it clings to rocks in the ocean.

This hand blown glass spiral bowl measures 9 inches wide and 4 inches tall. John signed the bottom of this one of a kind piece.

This wonderful, tan in color, sculpted glass mushroom represents fungus often seen in nature and created by John Gibbons of Eureka, California. It is a soft tan cap with a cream colored stem, the glass base is made with warm tan and silver tones. This art glass specimen is made to sit flat on a table or shelf. John tries to capture the essence of a mushroom in nature while highlighting the properties of glass. The mushroom is created with the color pattern on the top of the fungus creating an illusion of a freshly sprouted specimen.
This beauty is about 5 inches in height.

This bowl was created by first rolling a molten clear bubble of glass through a layer of blue glass chunks that are about the size of rock salt and then rolling it though similar sized white powdered glass. The next step is to blow the bubble into a aluminum optic mold that has 12 triangular ribs on the inside of it. The ribbed bubble is heated and twisted to create the vortex spiral. Another layer of molten clear glass is gathered on the bubble and then blown into a sphere. The final move is to put another metal rod on the bottom and brake it off the blow pipe. The bubble is then heated and opened into the bowl with rods of graphite and wet newspaper. When finished, the bowl is placed into a 950 degree oven to cool slowly overnight.

This Small Tide Pool Green Octopus is made with tentacles curling, bulging eyes, and an individual personality. Eight legs and three hearts, who wants a hug? Each creature is a work of art and unique.

This hand-blown glass bowl has alternating lines of aqua, golden yellow and pink cane that twist around a clear glass bowl. The spiral converges at the center of the bowl, creating a vortex of color. Each hue has a different intensity and creates beautiful shadows. The aqua is thin and bright, the golden yellow is elegant and the pink is barely visible blush of color. Check out the pictures.

This vessel is an original work of art. 

A wonderful addition to any home. A unique way to light up a room, with starfish giving a finishing touch. Using classic glass blowing techniques a soft white colored glass is blown giving a soft glow when illuminated. To this beauty is the perfect placement of three starfish reaching for the light. Standing about 10.5 inches high and 5.5 inches wide.

This starfish cluster is a hand-sculpted glass vase made with a lattice of starfish surrounding a clear glass bowl. Each starfish is hand sculpted without the use of molds, making each sculpture unique. The vibrant colors draw you into the depths, while the thick layer of clear glass make the starfish appear as though they have just been pulled out of the ocean.
