Full of movement, this hand-sculpted glass turtle swims across colorful amethyst coral with its front fins bent upwards and back fins kicking. The turtle's shell is created by melting optical tubes of color into the molten glass. Then layers of color are added to the bottom and a thick layer of clear glass is added to the top, making the turtle optical and appear as though it is underwater.
It measures about 6” width x 4” depth x 6” height.
The bottom of each sculpture is hand signed by John Gibbons.
